Frequently asked questions
When should I use Direct mode?
Use Direct mode when one gun position, one north-clockwise target bearing, and one target range are already available.
When should I use Spotter Relay mode?
Use Spotter Relay when the first vector runs from gun to spotter and the second runs from spotter to target.
Why does the plot sometimes say Auto-Fit Scale?
Auto-fit keeps out-of-bounds coordinates visible. Compare the printed range and coordinates rather than judging distance from screen length.
Does this planner calculate shell trajectory?
No. It calculates planar coordinates, bearing, range, and mils. Charge and elevation belong in the Ballistic Calculator.
